## Profile

Lead Software Engineer specialised in designing and evolving critical platforms. I work from architecture to production, with strong experience in progressive migrations, reliability, software quality and structuring engineering practices. I stay hands-on technically while supporting teams and architecture decisions across the organisation.

## Skills

- **Practices**: hexagonal architecture (back end and front end), DDD, TDD, progressive migrations (shadow run, parallel run), incident management, observability, event-driven architecture, CQRS, mutation testing, property-based testing, component / end-to-end tests, trunk-based development, feature flags, RFCs / ADRs.
- **Technical**: C#, TypeScript, Scala, Java; .NET 10, NestJS, React; Azure, AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CosmosDB, RabbitMQ, GitHub Actions, Datadog, ELK, Playwright, Auth0; AI: Claude Code, multi-agent orchestration.
- **General**: Lean, Scrum, pair/mob programming, OKRs, coaching, technical recruiting; English (TOEIC), German (basic).
- **Inspirations**: Birgitta Böckeler (Exploring Generative AI, Harness Engineering); Martin Fowler (martinfowler.com); Robert C. Martin (The Clean Coder, Clean Code, Uncle Bob's blog); OCTO (Culture Code); Joshua Bloch (Effective Java); Eliyahu M. Goldratt (The Goal).

## Experience

### Lead Software Engineer — Wakam (Paris), 2023 – present (3 years)

Team of about 4 people. Digital B2B2C insurer, distributing through a network of partners worldwide.

- **Critical APIs**: designed and evolved the Pricing API, called directly by partners under a performance SLA; delivered a Multi-Quote API for comparison sites in a few weeks.
- **Cross-team**: observability lead (Datadog); set up incident management for the whole company; led the migration of the entire Digital department to GitHub; spread shift-left practices (trunk-based development, pre-commit) and quality practices (mutation testing, property-based testing, ADRs); co-wrote the engineering standards.
- **Architecture**: proposed the decoupled architecture adopted for the new pricing platform; switched over without disruption (shadow run, parallel run).
- **Steering**: defined and tracked OKRs and milestones, made trade-offs with stakeholders, kept visibility through regular recaps.
- **AI**: orchestration of autonomous and cloud AI agents, spec-driven development; designed the outer harness for coding agents and an AI support agent on Slack, both used beyond the team.
- **Technologies**: C#, .NET 10, Azure, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, GitHub Actions, Datadog.

### Lead Software Engineer, then Engineering Manager — Sencrop (Lille), 2020 – 2023 (~3 years)

Fast-growing development team. Agtech: connected weather stations and agronomic models.

- **Product**: tech lead for the launch of the agronomy offer, then of the advisors' space: field interviews, a first version that lacked impact, refocus on acquisition.
- **Foundations and craft**: replaced the in-house authentication with Auth0; introduced hexagonal architecture in the shared back end; craft coaching (TDD, pair programming, trunk-based development, Lean).
- **Management**: Engineering Manager for one year; designed the technical recruiting process and took part in most technical hires (more than 10).
- **Technologies**: TypeScript, NestJS, React, Prisma, AWS.

### Software Engineer — Tinyclues (Paris), 2019 – 2020 (2 years)

Predictive marketing SaaS, acquired by Splio in 2023.

- **Product**: rewrote the targeting product from Scala to TypeScript/React: MVP then progressive switch-over, hexagonal architecture; introduced a deterministic state machine for campaigns, tested with a domain-specific language.
- **Technologies**: Scala, TypeScript, Play Framework, NestJS, React, RabbitMQ, Auth0.

### Software Design & Development Engineer — Allianz Informatique (Paris area), 2015 – 2018 (3 years)

- **Observability**: set up ELK monitoring on my own initiative, then rolled it out to all technical teams; internal training on Scala, ELK and quality.
- **Projects**: borrower insurance, health insurance, allianz.fr (Java 8, Spring, Angular).

### Work-study, 2010 – 2015

NetSeenergy, an EDF subsidiary (Java, AngularJS); ArcInformatique (C#, WPF); WAGO Contact (C).

## Teaching and community

- 2018 – 2023: part-time lecturer in web development, Polytech Paris-Saclay (final-year students).
- 2015 – present: internal talks at every company (Allianz, Tinyclues, Sencrop, Wakam).

## Education

- 2012 – 2015: master's-level engineering degree in computer science, work-study programme, Polytech Paris-Sud, Orsay.
- 2014 – 2016: Master 2 in Business Administration, IAE Paris – Panthéon-Sorbonne.
- 2010 – 2012: two-year technical degree in electrical engineering and industrial computing (DUT GEII), work-study, IUT de Cachan — top of the class.
- Certifications: PSM I, Scrum.org (2017); Functional Programming in Scala, EPFL (2016); Management 3.0 Foundation Workshop.

## Interests

- Robotics: team leader, Maker Faire Paris 2014 (7th of 90), Franco-Romanian robotics cup 2012 (1st prize).
- Diving: PADI Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver.
